Originally, the Toile de Jouy is a cotton fabric called Indian, an Indian being a cotton fabric painted or printed, originally made in India, then copied by European manufacturers on which are represented characters with decorations or landscapes.

Washed cotton

It is true that cotton no longer has to prove itself in terms of household linen.
